 THREE FUN FACTS ABOUT BULGARIAN

1.Unique Alphabet
Bulgarian uses the Cyrillic alphabet, which was developed in the 9th century by Saints Cyril and Methodius, two Byzantine missionaries. This alphabet is also used by several other Slavic languages, as well as some non-Slavic languages in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

2.Definite Article
Unlike many other languages, Bulgarian uses a definite article that is attached to the end of the noun rather than placed before it. For example, "dog" is "куче" (kuche), while "the dog" is "кучето" (kucheto).

3. Slavic Language
Oldest Written Bulgarian is one of the oldest written Slavic languages, with the earliest known texts dating back to the 9th century. These texts were written in Old Church Slavonic, which is the oldest Slavic literary language and the ancestor of modern Bulgarian.
