How to Participate:

​

• Record Your Video: Create a 40-second video in which you prepare a dish from a culture different from your own.

• Describe the ingredients and the process, using terms from the language of the dish's culinary tradition. Begin your presentation with “CookLingo with Dante Languages”, emphasizing the linguistic and cultural exploration of your culinary creation.

• Post on social media: Share your video on Instagram and/or Facebook using the hashtag #cooklingo. Ensure your profile is public to allow visibility of your post. Remember to tag @dantelanguages in your post.

Originality of the Dish: Show creativity in selecting and preparing a dish from a different culture.

Linguistic Clarity: Clearly and fluently express yourself in the chosen foreign language, demonstrating competence.

Social Engagement: Track interactions on your video post, including likes, shares, comments, and overall reach. Shares by restaurants count double!

• 1st Prize: R4000

• 2nd Prize: A language course, either online or in-person, offered by Dante Languages in one of the available languages

• 3rd Prize: An exclusive dinner at a restaurant in one of the following cities: Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, or Pretoria
